Global Mix Inc. of Middle Village, New York, is recalling niwali Tejocote Capsules and niwali Tejocote Pieces because the products appear to be Thevetia peruviana, also known as yellow oleander.
All parts of the yellow oleander plant are known to contain cardiac glycosides, which are highly toxic to humans and animals. No illnesses or adverse events have been reported to the company to date.
