The free class will be held virtually on September 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. MT via Microsoft Teams, making it easy for participants to attend from the comfort of their home.
Youth vaping continues to be a concern for families and communities, this class provides practical tools and resources to help adults recognize, prevent, and address nicotine use among young people.
Participants will learn:
- Health risks associated with e-cigarette and vaping product use
- Prevention strategies to help youth avoid nicotine addiction
- Intervention techniques for addressing concerns about vaping
- Effective communication approaches and how to recognize signs of use
- How to support youth who want to quit
- Available resources and support programs for youth and families
The training helps participants better understand vaping trends and learn how to support healthy choices among youth. "We all want to keep our children safe and healthy but navigating today's challenges can feel overwhelming. This class is designed to give families the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to have meaningful conversations about vaping, recognize warning signs, and support young people in making healthy choices. Our goal is to help families feel informed, empowered, and supported, said Chessie Meyer, Youth Cessation Program Coordinator."
Participants will have opportunities to engage with the presenter, ask questions, and gain actionable strategies they can use at home and within their communities.
