Southeastern Idaho Public Health's Communicable Disease Investigation Program detects, investigates, and helps control the spread of infectious diseases. By identifying sources of infection and preventing additional transmission, the program protects public health and provides the community with information needed to stay safe and healthy.

Respiratory syncytial virus was the most frequently investigated condition in the report, followed by chronic hepatitis C. COVID-19 was excluded because it was treated as a unique case.
